Hi all, to better define this site:
LPG is a forum for all students of the Rafflesian Community, specifically those in the Junior College, to foster discussion about Life Philosophy, in short, any Philosophical Schools of thought.
By joining this forum, you get to:
- Further question and learn about the area of Life Philosophy which you are interested in, through discussions with like-minded students
- Know others in school who share this same interest as you do
- Be notified of any future exciting LPG events, such as Life Philosophy Debates/Roundtable discussions in school! (Culminating into a sort of LPG Grand Prix)
Topics include (not exhaustive):
God, Religion, Atheism, Agnosticism, Humanism, Nihilism, Existentialism, Epistemology, Freewill, Hedonism. Materialism, Individualism (vs Collectivism?), RJ values
How to qualify as a member?
Membership is open to all with an interest in Life Philosophy, with something constructive to contribute, be it through a question, or answers that you think you found. Far from being a site for cloistered, select group of intellectual elites, LPG is for all you normal (or eccentric) people out there who enjoy good Life Philosophy discussions over good virtual lemonade.

| Introduce Yourself |
| Posted by lifephilosophygroup @ Sat Jun 13, 2009 3:01 pm |
Hello! To prevent confusion between the various nicknames running around and to reduce the sense of alienation, it is usually a rule of thumb for forums to have a thread where new users are obliged to introduce themselves.
The following format may be used.
Name (optional, this being the internet)
Age
School
Topics of interest
Hobbies
And other miscellaneous information that you wish to share.
Hopefully this will aid in the facilitation of friendly discussion.
P.S. This account does not have an introduction to make simply because it is used by a group of people to log in and do crazy administrative stuff to the forums. To make it more awesome for you people. So treat this user, lifephilosophygroup, as some sort of... Übermensch.

Please read the following rules and guidelines very carefully. By proceeding to post you agree to these guidelines and must obey them at all times. Refusal to obey these guidelines will result in the appropriate responsive actions.

2. There will be no racial, ethnic, gender based insults or any personal discrimination or attacks.
3. There will be no posts meant to offend or cause harm to any other member, in a manner which is offensive or inflammatory.
4. Spamming is not permitted; please keep all your posts as constructive as possible and do not double post. Just use the edit button.
5. Pornography or any other illegal transactions may NOT be linked in any shape or form.
6. Pictures may be posted as long as they are not explicit or offensive. If you plan to post more than one image, or the topic is based on graphics, please link the images rather than screening.

8. Remember to post in the correct forum. If your topic is placed in the wrong forum, it will be moved or deleted by a moderator.
9. Any impersonation of a user within these forums, in any mode of communication, is strictly prohibited and will result in a ban.
10. If you are linking to external content, you should link directly to that content. It is unacceptable to use link-thru systems to mask the originating URL, and cases where this is found to be happening may be edited or removed as appropriate.
Violation of any of these rules will result in consequences determined on a case-by-case basis, as deemed fit by the moderators.
Thanks.

Hi all, to better define this site:
LPG is a forum for all students of the Rafflesian Community, specifically in JC, to foster discussion about Life Philosophy. It's a little difficult to define what life philosophy is all about, but the main focus of this site is to discuss any Philosophical Schools of thought.

How to qualify as a member?
Membership is open to all Rafflesians with an interest in Life Philosophy, with something constructive to contribute, be it through a question, or answers that you think you found. Far from being a site for cloistered, select group of intellectual elites, LPG is for all you normal (or eccentric) people out there who enjoy good Life Philosophy discussions over good virtual lemonade.
The founders:
LPG was founded by 3 freewheeling spirits currently in J2, who became fast buddies through the creative writing club, and were all intrigued by the discussion of world views. The diversity of world views and the immeasurable questions that spawn forth motivated us 3 souls to set up this site, hopefully, to oil the wheels of discussion on Life Philosophy in our school.
